Compliance & Certifications

Per-region regulatory status for the Stovyn device, firmware, and software.

Pre-launch status

Stovyn is not yet commercially available. Certification work is in progress for each launch region. The Stovyn device will not be sold in any jurisdiction before the regulatory authorizations required for that jurisdiction (FCC for the US, ISED for Canada, IFETEL for Mexico, WPC for India, CE for the EU) have been issued. Radiofrequency (RF) exposure

The Stovyn device contains a 2.4 GHz / 5 GHz Wi-Fi radio operating at low power, intended for fixed installation above a stovetop. The radio operates at duty cycles and transmit powers within the SAR (Specific Absorption Rate) limits of the FCC, ISED, and equivalent regulators. The device is not designed to be carried on or near the body and the recommended minimum installation distance from any person during normal operation is 20 cm.

Final RF exposure compliance documentation will be filed with the relevant authorities as part of each region's certification process.

End-of-life and recycling

Do not dispose of Stovyn devices, batteries, or packaging in household waste. Return retired devices to a designated electronic-waste collection facility, or contact support@augeastechnologies.com for prepaid mail-back instructions. We will recycle the device free of charge in jurisdictions where we are required to do so by law (EU WEEE, California SB-50, India E-Waste (Management) Rules 2022).
