Requests where we produced data
To date, Stovyn has not received any government or law-enforcement demand for user data. If that ever changes, we will update these figures each reporting period. If we are ever served with a request that legally prohibits us from disclosing it, we will report that fact to the fullest extent the law allows.
Our commitments
- ·We require valid, legally binding process before disclosing any user data, and we push back on requests that are overbroad or defective.
- ·We notify the affected account owner before disclosing their data, unless we are legally prohibited or there is a genuine emergency involving a risk to life.
- ·We do not give any government agency direct or "back door" access to our systems, devices, or data.
- ·We collect as little as the product needs, which means there is little to hand over in the first place.
Emergency requests
In a genuine emergency involving an imminent risk of death or serious physical harm, the law allows us to disclose limited information to help. We evaluate every emergency request carefully and record it in the next report. As a life-safety product, we take these situations seriously while guarding against misuse of the exception.
