What is Stovyn?

What's an 'incident'?
A safety-related event detected by the system (example: escalating heat trend that may require attention).

Yes. You can acknowledge/clear incidents. Clearing may require adding a short note (especially for property managers).
Will it call emergency services automatically?
No. In an emergency call 911. Stovyn can show emergency guidance and help notify trusted contacts.
Can I dismiss an alert by waving my hand?
Not yet. Hand-wave dismiss is planned and ships via a firmware update once bench-validated. Today, use the "I'm here" acknowledgement tap in the app to dismiss an active alert.
Learn moreWhat if my Wi-Fi or power goes out?
Stovyn needs Wi-Fi to push phone notifications and send SMS to trusted contacts. If the router or internet drops, the device speaker still beeps locally, but remote alerts pause until it reconnects. The battery keeps it running through a brief power outage. Always keep certified smoke and CO alarms as your primary safety devices.
What does "I'm here" do exactly?
It confirms you're present and aware. When a critical-heat alert fires, you have a configurable window (30-120s) to tap "I'm here" in the app, or wave a hand near the device. Either one cancels the escalation. Ignore it, and the device keeps alerting and (where enabled) notifies your trusted contacts.

No. We do not sell consumer data.

No live stream. The camera captures event snapshots that our cloud AI analyzes for risks; we keep only the result, not your images.

Is subscription required?
No. Core on-device safety alerts work without one. The first year is free on every model. After that, Standard stays free; Pro's AI camera features renew at $49.99/year. A subscription also unlocks cloud extras like extended history and exports.

Two layers: a 90-day no-questions-asked replacement window, then a 1-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects from the date of purchase, plus your statutory consumer-protection rights.
